An adjustment is a highly-skilled and precise movement usually applied by hand to the vertebrae of the spine or other joints of the body. Adjustment to the joint restores proper movement and improves function. When a joint is adjusted, an air bubble may escape causing a popping noise, similar to when you crack your knuckles. This popping sound is known as a 'cavitation'. Depending on the nature of the problem, Dr. Abha may also utilize extra spinal joint mobilization, muscle release techniques, IIASTM, muscle stimulation and therapeutic exercises to relieve your pain and get you feeling better and functional again.

Each patient’s frequency varies. My wellness patients come in for treatments bi weekly or monthly. Most acute patients are given a specific recommendation of number of visits, and our goal is to get you to the wellness phase. For reference, at minimum, I like to get adjusted 2x a month, and more if I am experiencing specific issues.

DO YOU PARTICIPATE WITH INSURANCE?
Chastain Wellness Center is a cash based wellness practice. Dr. Abha is an “out-of-network” provider with other health insurance companies. This means I can charge a fee at the time of your visit and then provide you with a Superbill (detailed itemized receipt) for you to submit to your insurance. If your insurance benefits apply, you will get reimbursed directly by your insurance company for the visit. Most insurance plans do have out-of-network coverage for chiropractic care. The great news is that by not having to deal with insurance companies, office costs are kept down, so I can offer affordable care for the whole family. Weekly, Twice Monthly or Monthly Membership plans are offered as well, inquire within!
Please note: I do accept HSA and FSA forms of payment and always welcome open and honest conversations about finances. I am here to serve you and will do all that I can to help.

The Webster Technique is a specialized certification offered through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. It is a specific chiropractic analysis and adjustment for the pelvis, sacrum and surrounding ligaments. This technique helps facilitate the mother's neurobiochemical function in the pelvis and relieves any intrauterine constraint caused by torsion or tension. Webster technique during pregnancy can help allow more space for baby to grow and move into position to prepare for the birth process. It also has shown to decrease labor times, and ultimately, less birth interventions.

I always recommend the sooner the better, but it never too late. If you are in the preconception phase, or in your 1st/2nd/3rd trimester or a week away from your due date, I am honored and happy to get you under care, no matter where you are in your prenatal journey.

As soon as you feel ready to leave the house! Most of my postpartum mamas come see me within the first two weeks. This is the case even if you had a c-section. The adjustment might look a little different than what you were used to during your pregnancy, as we accommodate for your postpartum (healing) body.
